I lived, performed, and made music abroad for many years. Over the course of my career, I have had the opportunity to play in various ensembles. The pandemic brought me back from Spain to Finland, and while living in Turku, I finally decided to start producing my own music more professionally. In no time, I had become a Turku-based musician!
My debut album was released in 2023. It includes three songs in Finnish and three in English. Since then, I have released three singles and taken part in other productions. I am an independent singer-songwriter who has composed, written the lyrics, sung, and played many of the instruments on my own songs. Music production has been a central part of my artistic journey. The album was planned in collaboration with the talented music producer Aleksanteri Kuosa.

I am Anu Agafia, a Finnish singer-songwriter and musician, bringing to the stage my unique and clear voice along with a versatile, soul-led musical expression. My style blends folk-pop, indie music, and the singer-songwriter genre, with improvisation adding a deep, listening sensitivity to the music.
I perform at a wide range of events, including corporate functions, festivals, and fairs, as well as more personal and intimate occasions. In these settings, I help individuals open up and groups flourish. I have performed at numerous celebrations, retreats, weddings, and funerals, and I am also happy to sing at christenings. I offer commissioned music programs that combine the power of music with the calming effect of a healing voice. The program can consist of my own music as well as carefully selected pieces by other artists. An event can also be designed as a deep sound journey, creating a relaxing space through voice and violin.
In addition, I help people reconnect with their creativity and inspiration, offering teams the opportunity to flourish together. In the coaching work I do with companies, creativity is given room to grow — and when this potential is allowed to emerge, collaboration begins to take shape from new and inspiring foundations.

I offer therapeutic experiences through music and sound journeys. When used with intention, the voice has a healing effect. My music has been described as healing and deeply touching. I create music that brings hope and helps people reconnect with themselves — and with parts of themselves that may have been lost. Through my music, I aim to offer keys to healing. My lyrics and soulful melodies tell stories of connection and life.
The composition began to take shape in the autumn of 2023 amid the turmoil of war and the sudden passing of my father, along with a few other loved ones. I turned inward and eventually began to create a prayer. The song ultimately became a powerful ray of light in the midst of darkness, one that may even invite you to dance toward the end. The piece features a particularly rich soundscape created with violin, voice, and various rhythmic instruments.
